Aries0083's Spotlight On Captain Marvel

Lo! True Believers! Here I am again with another spotlight. Excelsior!

Whilst most people aren't familiar with the character, it wasn't until Marvel Legends Maestro that I really got introduced to this character. That and the Comic Geek Speak special podcast on "The Death Of Captain Marvel".

Walking Dead: Dead Reckoning and Tiny Farm - Reviews

Walking Dead: Dead Reckoning gets 3 Stars!

Good Story...But this is more like a "Choose your own adventure" book, than it is a game.
The music and sound effects are decent, althought they sound like I'm listening to am AM radio, than an mp3 file. I had the same isssue with Agent Dash. Like the treble's too high.

The artwork is acceptable, but that happens alot when you have a comic based on something with real people in it.

The story is good, but short. It takes place just before Shane heads off to save Rick at the hospital.
One downside was that I had to download Adobe Air, so I could play the game. The advantage was, that I could play the game underground.

Aries0083's Spotlight on Wolverine

Lo! True Believers! Just to get your juices going with what I intend to do with this blog, I present to you. The first official entry. (Don't mind the one before this, like Weapon X I'm just experimenting on it.)

Now guys this isn't a wikipedia entry, it's not a word for word recount of Wolvie's history, but of the character's history with me.

Inotia 4 and Agent Dash Free Android Games Review

The Chronicles Of Inotia IV on the Android gets 5 Stars!

My Review on Google Play

Unlike the Aforementioned "Epic Warriors" This game is a true RPG in all the sense of the Word.
There is a story with dialogue and cut scenes. Beautiful Japanese-esque art for the character designs. And a great menu for equipping inventory onto your characters.

Problems that come up is the fact that you can't always connect to the specialty shop. And I find the abilities menu a bit confusing. You can assign tasks for a character to learn, but I'm not clear on the requirements.

Also sometimes my character will get stuck in gaps in the walls. The controls and other things will obscure your view of him. And it's hard sometimes to walk over something a monster dropped, when you character is going around in squares. But I can tolerate that.

And you know what the best part is...you can play this game underground!
Highly recommended!

I woder where parts I - III are?

Happy Street and Tower Defense - Free Android Games Reviews

Happy Street For Android on Google Play
I like this game! 3 Stars Out Of 5
My Review On Play

It's like a cuter version of Farmville or Cityville. But not quite. You build your structures on a street, so your town expands to the left and to the right. Your citizens are cutesy animals that make cute noises. And the music is Final Fantasy-esque.
You build houses so your neighbors can move in. You create shops so they can buy stuff. As they get happy, you level up. You can also visit other places. Right now I have the village and the forest.
The only downside to me is that after everything is done, you got nothing left to do. And right now I can't even buy the ingredients to make a Red Dye, because it's not in the store. I don't even remember how I got the 2 I have in the first place.
It's well designed, but too slow paced. And you can play this game under ground. No Internet connection needed. Unless you want to visit your facebook friends who are playing the same game.

I Survived New York Comic Con 2012!

Lighten up you're still alive!
So, as I already posted before I had little expectations for any fun times at New York Comic Con, but I went anyway.

Hasbro was not there, but their rival Mattel was there in a little booth that had a line heading to it. I suspected that it was for Zuul. I was upset that they did not have any Monster High stuff on display, but oh well I took a pick of a new packaged old Batgirl. I guess they're going back to just selling Batman stuff.
I'm sure it's just a repaint.
Halo 4 was also in attendance. I couldn't see anything because there was a gigantic line for people waiting to play the game. I love Halo, but I'm here for the Halo Reach stuff.
Master Chief had to split!
The Diamond booth was pretty good if you wanted to see new Marvel stuff, they had some cool minimates on display and a couple of new Marvel Select figures.

I like the Wolverine set, although I have no idea about all the costumes.
I still like the Marvel Select Figures, and this Nightcrawler will be a cool addition.
Expect to see him soon in stores!
The next cool booth was Tamashii Nations, they let you fiddle with their upcoming C-3PO 12 inch figure. And they had a cool display featuring some Dragonball Z SHFigurarts!

It's over FIVE THOUSAND!!!
BOOM indeed!

I also visited the Blue Fin booth, which had a ton of Gundam stuff, but nothing new, just AGE, Master Grades and High Grades.

I went to the 3A Booth to see if they had Carter, but no luck! They did have a sign that they were selling stuff at another booth. But I forgot to go.

I took tons of videos until my camera died out, I was promised a re-charging station, so on the way to the convention I didn't save any energy...That bit me in the ass. Because the charging booth was full of people, and any outlets on the floor were selectively shut down.

My Halo Reach Haul!

There were a couple of vendors that had Halo and Halo Reach stuff for sale. Some of the prices were worthy, but not worthy of me buying them. Among them was a Halo Reach Emile for $35.00 and a Spec Ops Elite for $24.99. I also saw an operative Dare from the Halo 3 line for $20.00.

Spartan Hazop from Series 1, 2 Pack cost me $7.00!
I don't have the Spec Ops, but I always say "I would rather get 100 cheap items that I like and already have , than to pay $100 dollars for something I don't have in my collection."

I'm full of wisdom!

There was a guy selling loose figures and that's where I got the Hazop from, he was a fan and he explained to me that the Halo Reach figures were great for customization. Don't I know it buddy!

He had some Joyride figures, an Elite an purple Spartan Mark VI and a Brute I almost bought.

But I'm not to crazy for the Halo 3 Brute design, so I left it.

Too much candy is not a good thing.

Cute and Borderline Diabetic!
The last thing I want to mention, is that there was a table selling these cute animals, there was Ooopsy the burping mouse, Norman Phartaphant a farting Elephant, a pink sneezing hippo and a Koala bear who's plush looked like Albert Einstein.

The lady was working the table, and was a great seller. I always say the difference between a small time shop and a retail chain is advertising. So I'm giving her a plug.

Waitaminute! The show floor closes at 7 PM, but the panels close at 10?
All in all it was pretty fun, a lot of walking was had by all. And my kidneys hurt so much I had to call out from work.  I don't think I will be attending the con next year. $35.00 dollars for a $15.00 dollar Carter is a lot to shell out. You think you're saving, but the fact is you have to add that to the cost.

The only regret I have is that I didn't have more money. I would have gotten that Emile after all. And I would have bought more Halo 3 stuff, even though I knew they were all brittle.

I have to say to anyone that might be bummed out because they missed this convention, or couldn't go...

Conventions to me, are all about the toy sales, and the $1.00 comic book boxes. I've never been into the original art. Or the personal appearances. (Although I did buy a picture of Carrie Fisher a few cons ago.)

So if you know of a Comic Book Convention that's near you, check it out you might find something.

This is Aries0083 signing off!

P.S. I got the Carter, Brute and the Gungnir from Rtctoys.com But he has nothing on Ebay and his website is closed. (I guess because he took all his inventory with him.) And I got the Rookie, The Elite Officer and the Grey Hazop from JD Comics. I know it's a comic book store in jersey, but I can't find it on the Internet.

Covenant Shade Turret and UNSC Spade Review

A.K.A Baby's First Halo Mega Bloks. I changed the title because it's not SEO friendly. LOL

Awww, and by baby I mean me. I'm a big baby, and this is my first time building some complex Halo Mega Bloks sets.
I had purchased the ODST and Covenant Drop pods for $6.00 at Walgreens, and that was a very simple build.

But a few month ago I purchased the Covenant Shade Turret because it was a cheap way to get a Halo Reach style Air Assault Spartan. And later that same day I picked up the UNSC Spade truck with Jorge, a Skirmisher and a Halo Reach style Marine.
This was back in July.

Hasbro Teases Marvel Legends! NYCC 2012!

Check out these sites for pics of Marvel Legends Hawkeye, Balck Panther and Pheonix in her white outfit!
All of which have been done by ToyBiz! LOL Sarcasam!

The Iron Man 3 Stuff looks bad. Not interesting unless they change up Iron Man's design.

Also! It looks like Hasbro has no plans to show off anything this year. I knew I felt it coming, what with how the toylines are panning out.

Updated! New York Comic Con 2012! Expectations!

I'm so excited and I just can't hide it.!

Well not that excited.. :(

Tomorrow is the pre-show day, which is open only to the press, I believe. So some cool action figure news will be showing up.
Since I"m in a Halo state of mind, there's nothing that I'm looking forward to this year. My goal is to go see stuff and buy a few hard to find items amongst the dealers that are in attendance.

Halo: The Essential Visual Guide Book Review

Halo: The Essential Visual Guide
DK Publishing SRP: $16.99 at Barnes &Noble

As you can tell from the wear and tear on the cover, I really love this book. So much so that I wanted to buy another one and scan it page by page. But I realised I could get an extra figure for the price of this book.

Doctor Who at TRU

Exterminate The Hand Bag!

If you are a fan of the Eleventh Doctor, you can pick up some figures from the show at Toys R Us! So far the only 2 figures I've seen is Amy Pond and The Doctor with Stetson Hat. There is also a cute Timey Whiney plush key chain Tardis which at the press of a button makes the Tardis sound.

The Figures are $20.99 and the Tardis is $12.99.

I applaud Toys R Us's effort to carry Doctor Who, but I'm worried that the old doctors won't sell. They should start with the 2005 series or with Matt Smith's stuff since it's currently on BBC America (Who's website sucks there, you'll have more fun with BBC One's site)

So, Trust me....Cause I'm the Doctor.

Emile - Halo Reach Figure Review

Series 1
Cost $14.99 at Adventures Underground

Emile is the cool anti hero spartan. Just like the Punisher and Venom he loves skulls, and he doesn't play well with others. he's just like Wolverine, but without the insubordination.

Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn - Part 1 (Live-action Halo Series)

It's Finally Here! The Live Action Halo!

This series Follows the Master Chief (Daniel Cudmore, Colossus from the X-Men Films) as he interacts with Cadets from the UNSC. One of which appears in Halo 4. Enjoy! And Here's hoping this is some good stuff.

Halo Reach + Rite Aid = Winning!

What's up troops! It's a good time to be a Halo Reach Fan, I can tell you that! So I go into Rite Aid yesterday and I see these...

Series 5 stuff in Queens? Say it isn't so!

Free Android Games! Aries0083 on Google Play!

No this is not an advert! Not A Hoax! Or a Dream!

I got a new phone at the begining of August, and I've been trying out games on my android.

The most important quality is that it has to work underground, since I do that alot on my fequent Toy Hunts.

My latest review was of Avatar Fortress Fight! My Favorite game right now is Epic Raiders!

So stay tuned. Cause I love Android and you should too!
